sh-ikai whispered:
heine and nill and let sally do it

A/N: MY OTP. Time for a serious ficlet.

Nill knew. Nill always knew. That no matter how much better Heine was around her than other girls or women, there was still that undercurrent of some deep, instinctual fear instilled in him that dripped out from the incurable wounds of trauma inflicted on him. She was never disappointed in him, no. She simply wanted him to be happy.
So today, she resolved that she would help him overcome those issues. With what little delicate powers she had, because he had made everything better for her, and it squeezed her soft heart painfully when she couldn’t do the same for him.
Heine allowed it, always a pushover for the little angel. He was seated on one of the church pews, looking up as Nill hovered over him. Even with him sitting down, she was barely half a head taller than him. She stood between his parted knees, and placed her hands gently, lightly, above his.
The first thing they had to overcome was his trouble with direct contact. She blinked at him questioningly, as if asking, 'Is this okay?'
He nodded calmly, with a tiny smile. ‘We hold hands all the time. I’m fine.’
She tilted her head to the side, and trailed her long, graceful fingers up the snowy skin of his arms and up to his shoulders.
He still breathed normally as she searched his eyes, and Nill leaned closer, prompted her own curiosity. His eyes were so very red, but not like blood. More like fire. A heated glow that could burn, but could also warm. He could be warm.
His pupils dilated as they focused on her face, and he swallowed nervously.
Taking it to be a sign of fear, Nill started to pull back, but Heine wrapped his hands around her wrists, keeping them there. ‘No, it’s okay.’
He let go and she leaned forward carefully, sliding her arms around him with the utmost care, as if he were a fragile being that might fall apart.
He flinched as she ran her hands over his bandaged neck, brushing the exposed top of the long scar running down his back.
She glanced at him reassuringly and floated down closer, pulling him into a gentle hug.
Heine stopped breathing. He froze and Nill almost began to panic, but then she felt a pair of strong arms wrap tentatively around her, just beneath her wings.
She waited patiently until his breathing returned to normal. She tilted her head, burying her face in his bandaged neck.
Heine started, his hands fluttering worriedly in the air. ‘What are you…’
Nill hugged him closer, as if to say, ‘It’s okay, I’m not afraid.
She glanced upward at his strong jawline, unable to see his eyes. A muscle twitched above his clenched jaw, and she suddenly felt very sad. Did he not like her? Was she not okay? She blinked rapidly, not wanting to cry, and placed feather-light butterfly kisses along his jaw.
To her surprise, he drew her closer, the taut muscles in his arms relaxing around her.
Taking it as encouragement, she kissed him lightly on the cheek. She felt him smile and she mirrored the expression in delight. She kissed him again, embracing him tightly. She could feel his heart beating fast, but he was warm and unafraid. She gently kissed the corner of his mouth with a grin. ‘I like your smile.’
She leaned in and ever, ever so lightly, shyly brushed her lips across his. There was a sudden, tingling, burning sensation in fer face and she drew back, standing up, biting her lip and covering her warm cheeks with her hands.
She looked down to see Heine wearing a maddening blush, made ten times more obvious by his albino skin, his red eyes blinking rapidly in surprise.
She tugged lightly on his shirt, tilting her head with a worried look.
He snapped out of his daze, and looked up, blushing even deeper, if it was possible. ‘Yes, yes, I’m okay. I am very okay. I’m good.’
Nill grinned at her success, clapping her hands together with childish delight. He wasn’t afraid of her! He liked her!
At that moment, Naoto marched into the church, her boots clapping against the ground. ‘Hey, snowflake. We need to-‘
Heine bolted up as if electrified and sprinted from the room.
'Wow, what's up with him?' Naoto asked.
Nill tapped on her lips with a little smile.
Naoto’s eyes widened in comprehension, and she burst into laughter. ‘No way! Really…? Oh man, he’s so awkward! Oh this is the weirdest kind of adorable.’
Nill’s wings fluttered rapidly as her shoulders shook with silent giggles.

imahappypersun whispered:
HI there! Can you please make a Jerza fic? Please and thank you! :D

Thank you for becoming our first non-anonymous requester!! It makes me a very “happypersun”!

Erza Scarlet glared at the two playing cards before her with a small determined frown. They were held face down towards the table, and only the red swirly patterns on the back of the cards were visible to her.

She glanced back at her own card, a two of spades, then at the blue-haired man lounging at the other end of their small table.

"So, which card will you choose?" Jellal Fernandez questioned tauntingly.

Erza bit her lip as she focused her gaze back towards the two cards in Jellal’s hands. A fifty-fifty percent chance as to winning or losing. One card Jellal held must be a two as well, but the other is a queen.

Erza sighed; the game of “Old Maid” was simple; take turns taking a card from the other person’s deck without seeing what their cards are. When you have two cards of the same number value, place them aside as a pair. Before the game began, a single queen card had been taken aside, so their would be an odd number of queens remaining. The player holding the queen card at the end is the loser.

If Erza could pick out the two from Jellal, it would be her immediate win. But if she was to pick the Queen, then Jellal would become the one that gets to choose between her two and the queen.

Almost as if to add more pressure, Jellal grinned mischievously as he pushed one card slightly closer to Erza, “Take this one.”

Erza frowned, she had never been good at psychological games. If he wanted to take that one, it would mean the Queen card, right? But he could be purposely making her think this way, so maybe she should take the card he pushed out. But what if he anticipated her thinking this way?

Shaking her head in frustration, Erza decided she was stupid. This was a simple game after all, it didn’t matter if she lost or won as long as she had fun.

And so, hesitantly, she took his bait and snatched the card which he had told her to take.

Before she could even look at it, Jellal wooped with exaggerated delight. “I won!”

Erza sighed, even if it is a game, she really did hate to lose. Time for the second round then, she thought as placed her two cards face up on the table.

Erza frowned as she glanced at her two cards, “Wait a minute, Jellal, but I did end up taking up this two of diamonds. That means you’re card is the queen- or more correctly, the old maid- right? That means I won!”

Jellal only grinned further, “So what? You only won the game, I’ve won myself the queen of hearts.”

Erza raised a baffled eyebrow. “What?”

Suddenly, she noticed Jellal was surprisingly close to her as he leaned across the table.

"I ended the game with the queen of hearts, but when you think beyond the game and into real life, who do you think the queen of my heart is?" Jellal’s voice was quiet, but alluring. "If I have the queen of hearts, that means I have you, and if I have you, I can’t imagine how that would mean defeat."

The temperature must have suddenly risen in the room as Erza found her face flustered and red. Before she knew, Jellal’s lips met her forehead, and she discovered it was suddenly hard to stay awake and sane.

"Alright, then, new game~" Jellal sung as he leaned back on his chair, as if nothing had happened.

Erza stared at him for but a moment longer, before throwing the absent fourth queen back into the pile.

Jellal stopped and looked up at Erza, “What are you doing?”

It was Erza’s turn to grin as she pulled the king of spades away from the pile.

"Trying to capture the king of hearts, that’s all."

A/N: Thanks for giving me the chance to write this happy Jerza fic~! It’s definitely a very different feel to KofE - less angsty, if you get what I mean ;)
